Glass Studios (NK STUDIOS LLC) designs, fabricates and installs glass railings, balustrades, shower enclosures and partitions in South Florida. This policy covers glassstudiosfl.com, our calls and messages with you, the measurement visit, and the work on your project. If something here does not suit you, do not send us the information — write to us and we will find another way.
02
What we collect
Contact details: name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code.
Project details: the kind of work, your timing, any budget guidance, your notes, and the photographs, drawings and documents you attach.
Site details: the address, the floor, how to get in — lift, parking, security, the building manager — and the measurements and photographs our measurer takes for fabrication.
Payment details: that a payment was made, the amount and the method. Full card numbers never reach us; the payment service handles those.
Website data: browser and device type, pages viewed, where you arrived from, approximate region from your IP address. This is not tied to your name.
Nothing but the last of these is collected until you send it to us. We buy nothing from data brokers.
03
What we use it for
To answer you and arrange the measurement. To price the work and write the proposal. To order glass and hardware to your measurements, and to schedule delivery and installation. To answer questions and honour warranty obligations after handover. To invoice, keep accounts, and meet the law. To see which pages are read and where the form gives trouble. To prevent fraud and defend our rights.
We do not use your information to advertise other people’s products, we do not build advertising profiles, and no decision about you is made automatically without a person involved.
04
Calls, texts and email
We call and write only to people who gave us their number and agreed to hear from us, and only about your enquiry, your measurement, your quote and your project. We run no marketing list.
Consent to messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency depends on your project. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them — you will get one confirmation and nothing after. Reply HELP for help, or call the number below. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Stopping messages does not stop the calls and emails a live job needs: confirming an installation date, telling you the crew is on the way, asking a question about the site.
05
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, trade or share mobile telephone numbers or messaging consent with third parties, affiliates or partners for marketing. There is no exception to this. The same holds for the rest of your information.
06
Who sees it
The people on your project — the installation crew, the glass supplier, the finishing specialist — see the address, the access arrangements, the measurements, the specification and a telephone number to confirm arrival. What you told us about your plans, and what the job costs, stays with us.
The services that run the site and our mail — hosting, email, payments, notifications — process what they need to do their job, on our instruction, and may not use it for their own purposes.
Our accountant, lawyer and insurer see what they need. Government bodies and courts see what the law requires. If the business is ever sold, your information passes to the buyer along with the duty to honour this policy, and we will say so on the site.
07
Cookies
The site uses the technical cookies it needs to work — they remember the language and hold a part-filled form. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. If we add analytics, this section will name it and say how to opt out, and the date at the top will change.
Cookie settings live in your browser; turning off the technical ones may break the enquiry form. The site does not act on the browser’s Do Not Track signal, as there is no agreed standard for handling it.
08
Photographs of finished work
We photograph and film what we install: the glass, the fixings, the junctions, the room. We use those images in the portfolio on this site, on social media, in presentations and in advertising, and we send them to hardware manufacturers as examples of their systems in use.
Published images never show the address, the client’s name, house numbers, documents, or personal belongings and faces that would identify who lives there.
You can refuse. Tell us before the work starts, or write to us later, and we will take the images off the site and off social media within a reasonable time. Anything already printed cannot be recalled. Photography is not part of the price and is never a condition of the work.
09
How long we keep it
Enquiries that never became work: two years from the last contact.
Records of completed projects — measurements, specifications, contracts, sign-offs, site photographs: seven years from completion, which is the period Florida law allows for claims about work on real property.
Accounting and tax records: for as long as the law requires.
Messaging consents and opt-outs: while the consent stands, and four years after it is withdrawn, so we can show we were entitled to write and will not write again.
After that we delete the information or strip it of anything that points to a person.
10
How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS. Enquiries and files are reachable only by the people who need them for the work, behind a password. The data is held on servers in the United States.
No method of sending data over the internet and no method of storing it is completely secure, and we will not promise you otherwise.
If we learn that someone has reached your information without authorisation, we will tell you — and, where it is required, the state — in the manner and within the time Florida’s breach notification law sets out, and we will say what happened, what it touched and what we did.
11
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you and for a copy of it; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; withdraw consent to messages or to the use of photographs; and complain about how we handled it.
Write to info@glassstudiosfl.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or call (754) 704-2777. We answer within 45 days, and if the request is complicated we may extend that once by a further 45 days and will tell you. We may ask you to confirm something only you would know — the site address, the number you called from — so we do not hand your information to a stranger. There is no charge, and we do not treat anyone worse for asking.
What we cannot delete: records the law requires us to keep, and anything needed to defend a claim already made. We will tell you plainly what stays and why.
12
Other states and other countries
We work in South Florida and our services are meant for people in the United States, where the data is held and processed. State privacy statutes such as California’s do not reach a business of our size, but we give everyone the rights above regardless of where they live. If you write to us from outside the United States, your information will be sent to the United States, where the rules differ from those at home.
13
Children
The site and the services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it. A parent or guardian can write to us and we will remove a child’s information.
14
Links to other sites
We link to glass and hardware manufacturers, to maps, and to our own social media. We do not run those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or how they treat your information. Read their policies.
15
Changes to this policy
We may change this page — when we add a service, or change how we work. A new version takes effect when it is published here, and the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects your rights we will post a notice on the site and write to the people we are working with.
