The questions we get asked most. If yours is not here, ask it — the answer usually depends on your site.
Can you provide an initial estimate from photos?
For an initial range, often yes. For a number you can sign, no — final pricing depends on measurements and site conditions that photographs hide. Photographs are how we start; the field measurement is how the price gets confirmed.
What affects the price of a glass project?
Panel sizes, the glass construction and thickness, hardware and finish, what you are mounting into, how the glass has to be carried to the work area, whether engineering or permit documents are needed, and how much finishing work the surrounding surfaces need. Two quotes that look far apart are usually different in these, not in margin.
When should measurements be taken?
After the surfaces the glass meets are finished — tile, stone, decking, flooring. Measuring before the finish goes on means measuring a different opening than the one the glass has to fit.
How are permits or approvals handled?
We can prepare and assemble what a submission typically needs, and coordinate with the design professional where drawings or calculations are required. Responsibility for filing and for the approval itself is agreed in the scope, in writing, before work starts. The building department makes the determination for your address.
