What happens between signing and finishing, and what we need from you along the way.

Why does someone have to come out?
Because glass is cut to the opening you have, and tempered glass cannot be trimmed once it is made. A field measurement records the real dimensions, how far out of level and plumb things are, and what the glass is anchoring into. It is the step that prevents the expensive mistake.
When should the measurement happen?
After the surfaces the glass meets are finished — tile, stone, decking, flooring. Measuring before the finish goes on means measuring a different opening than the one the glass has to fit.
Planning your projectWhat do you need from me before the visit?
Access to the area, the surfaces finished if the schedule allows it, and someone who can answer questions about how the space is used. If there are building or HOA rules about work hours, elevators, or access, tell us before the visit rather than on the day.
How long does fabrication take?
It depends on the glass. Standard constructions move faster than laminated, tinted, low-iron, or oversized panels, and anything requiring engineering or approvals adds time before fabrication even starts. You get the expected dates for your project in writing rather than an average.
What happens on installation day?
The route is protected, the glass is carried in, the anchors are set, the panels are set and aligned, and the hardware is adjusted. Then it is cleaned and walked through with you. How long it takes depends on the size of the job and how the glass has to reach the work area.
Will it be messy?
There is drilling, and drilling makes dust. The work area and the route to it are protected, and the area is cleaned before we leave. Tell us in advance about children, pets, building rules, or rooms that need to stay usable, and the plan can account for it.
What if access is difficult?
Say so early. A narrow stair, a tight elevator, a second-floor balcony, or a pool deck with no side gate all change how the glass gets to where it is going — sometimes the system itself, sometimes just the crew size. It is a normal constraint, and much cheaper to plan for than to discover.
Can I use it right away?
Usually, but not always. Some sealants and structural silicones need time to cure before the assembly is loaded or the shower is used. If your project has a waiting period, you will be told what it is and why before we leave.
What do you do after it is installed?
Walk the work with you, adjust the hardware, explain how to care for the specific glass and finish you chose, and leave you the documentation for the glass and hardware. Anything outstanding gets written down rather than remembered.

Still have a question?
If yours is not answered here, ask it. The answer usually depends on your site — the surface, the span, the finishes around it — and we would rather look than guess.
